CUBIC YARD GUIDE & MATERIAL CALCULATOR
-MEASURING 1 CUBIC FOOT

-A cubic foot can be thought of as a box, 12 inches tall, 12 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. It will hold 1 cubic foot of something.
-MEASURING 1 CUBIC YARD

-A cubic yard is equal to a box that contains a total of 27 cubic feet of volume. The simple illustration is a box that is 3 foot wide, 3 foot tall, and 3 foot deep. With the exception of pine straw, we measure everything we sell in cubic yard measurements. These measurements aren't based on weight, and the total weight of the products we carry varies widely.
-As a point of reference, a standard counter is in the neighborhood of 3 ft tall, and a doorknob is also close to 3 ft tall, as well. As an added benefit, we have a material calculator that can be used to figure how much material the planned project will need. Whether its filling in a low area in the yard. or knowing if the Garden Mix for your raised bed vegetable garden will fit in the bed of your truck, or do you need to bring a trailer, the Material Calculator will answer the question.
